'$20M A Drop In Bucket,' Say Advocates Seeking Funds To Shelter Homeless Women

“When you can save 1,000 women from being raped on the streets, it is a drop in the bucket,” said Mel Tillekeratne, an organizer of the effort #SheDoes, which aims to offer shelter and protection to homeless women.

Coming soon to the Coliseum.

Everything you need to know about our first-round draft pick T Kolton Miller. ...

Some of you fans are the biggest whiners. Lay off the armchair gm stuff and let Gruden and staff make the decisions that they think we need. None of us have the knowledge they have about professional football. Carr was a 2nd rounder. You never know who will stand out in the pros. Reggie and Gruden are bringing in a bunch of new players to compete for a spot. Our coaching staff is wayyy better this year.

You’re paying Carr $125M, your LT is 35, this is a smart pick

Kolton Miller and traded a third round pick for Martavis Bryant. So basically let's hope our offense scores 45+ points because our defense is going to get lid up on a weekly basis.

So Denver and SD get the top 2 defensive players in the draft, and we get a 2nd round, injury prone, LT, and you guys think it was a good pick? 🤦‍♂️ all of us understand we need to protect Carr, but not with a guy that could have been picked later. Why pass on one of the best LB’s or DB’s in the draft for a guy no one was going after?

Everyone R-E-L-A-X.
YES we absolutely need defense.
What’s worse than our defense?
When Carr gets injured.
This pick is an investment. The trade back gave us an extra pick to acquire WR Martavis Bryant.
Guarantee are next 3 picks are on defense. Not too mention we’re getting Conley and Obi back next season from last years draft.
Trust it. Have faith.

Wait a minute we get fleeced in our trade down and then on top of it we draft an often injured player SMH Reggie got to go, last 3 drafts first pick always some often injured reach project 😂 making life difficult being a raiders fan

Stop saying we have more picks for def...your not getting guys like Edmunds or James with pics in the later rounds. However you can probably get a decent o-lineman..the one good thing about our defense is at least we can look forward to another good draft pic next year.

Reggie is surviving off one good draft. Miller maybe would have been available in the 2nd round. Edmunds is a top ten talent. Our LBs are awful

And still with possibly the worst defense in the league....

If I was Mack I would be so frustrated, never get him any help on defense. Time to be bottom defense again this year.

Everyone who thinks this was a smart pick here's a reminder Robert Gallery! Remember him the last worthless lineman we waster on a 1st round pick hummm!!! How soon we forget.

Stop the rush or make a hole for beast mode, looks solid to me. Got a long draft to go. I’m not looking to make headlines, we need depth in our roster and that comes from the guys that don’t get the headlines. You’re not coming here to carry the team like the hotshots you’re here to support the team. Let’s get Mack some support too.

When will the Raiders learn “best available player” is a good thing. Second team Pac12 at #15 sucks.

Soooo exciting. Blocking is by far the best thing to watch in a football game. Raiders offense can put up over 25 points a game.....unfortunately the D will allow more

Those stats would be more impressive if he were coming out of the SEC. pac 12 got waxed in every bow game this past year. The big squadoosh! Hope he works out.

Great trade down. Ya know what hurt last year? Sloppy right tackle play. This behemoth played LT, his athleticism is questionable, but RTs don’t need to be as athletic. Everyone is complaining about the Defense after round 1. We just signed a hundred players to defense. Our secondary should be top 10 (no injuries/play to their abilities) easily. I see the new DC getting the best out of the D, do we need a LB? For sure. We will definitely get one in this draft. But Carr needs protection, our OLine will go back to dominating if this man can play. Have to get excited about a monster OLine. Start with the dominance in the trenches.

All these armchair GM's crying over this pick! You want Carr to be comfortable in the pocket or you wanna see him scared out of his mind again? Don't matter how good the D is if Carr looks like that again! Games are won in the trenches and Gruden knows that!

This draft is very thin at the O line position he wouldn't have been there by 2round had we waited and we need to protect DC look I wanted Def too but I understand this pick and we also add more picks along with a solid Wr in martavius Bryant still alot of talent available

Good protection for car and we got Martavis Bryant! Will be nice watching Carr throw it to Cooper, Bryant, Nelson and Jared Cook!

Kolton Miller was voted 2nd Team All PAC 12....and we use a 1st rd pick on him ?
Thats not 2nd team All American...
All PAC 12
Dont mind the player, its the pick we used to get him.....[Robert Gallery]

I really think he would have been there for our 3rd round pick. We could have taken him then and used our 1st round pick on defense!

So we go tackle. The front 7 struggles with stopping the run. The secondary can't stop the pass. But hey let use a 1st rd pick on I guy we could have got tomorrow.

Nate Solder JR is a great pick
I have been saying for years that we need to invest more in the right tackle (don’t know if he will play right or left but it will be a upgraded line)In our division it has been a necessity .Now that the Browns dropped the ball on Chubb it is a emergency. Let’s get a couple DT ( not hybrids) and some secondary help and the best players available after that.

Clearly cap space is a concern. Problem-child Crabtree out for a cheaper problem-child. I'm ok with Bryant if he can stay out of trouble. 3 good WRs looks good to me.

Raiders are gonna out 25 or more points a game, we will not let other teams score more. Just believe in gruden he is a very smart man of football

Sorry not a great pick. Good Mauler but his kick step needs serious work to contend with NFL edge rushers and just look at what Denver picked up with their #1. Love to be wrong, but this is a kid they could have gotten later.

Ash-throated Flycatchers are back in the park’s oak woodlands from their winter home south of the border. If you listen closely early in the mornings you can hear their “ka-brick” call from the tops of oaks and shrubs. Ben there AWSOME 💕

How long before dRump allows logging strip mining and fracking there

From the very first time I saw those tree's ,it seemed all fairy tails were seeded in truth.

Been there...amazing giants!

That’s an amazing view! Hard for me to imagine trees that big, so pictures are great!

But our planet was once all beautifull, unspoiled, and still could have been all beautiful, but NO!
Some people just want to have too many kids, so those of you who had and are having more than 2 kids, YOU have caused and still are causing massive population growths, that leads into more and more developments and growths that destroyed and is destroying nature and the true face of the earth.
So I wonder how long will these beautifull places survive and last, because of selfish, reckless, careless, ignorant and EVIL human population growths.
The world population is increasing in an alarming rate of more than 200,000 people per day, everything will be eventually destroyed, thanks to those people, you destroyed this planet, kept shitting on it, and now you think you are worthy of these nice places?

Moro Rock?...

Interesting photo, exposure-wise...quite possibly a single exposure, with just the right timing to start the exposure before local sunrise.

Is the road to the back of the canyon open yet?

Last night a dusting of snow fell upon the higher elevations of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. This is the time of year where storms like this are rare since we are in a Mediterranean climate. Enjoy the last bits of snow trees! Summer is right around the corner. In fact, on Sunday it's going to be 65 degrees!
