City, port OK $33M pact to regain control of convention center expansion site


With this deal, it's now up to voters in Novembers.

City and port leaders approve a $33 million deal to acquire a bayfront site crucial for an expansion of the San Diego Convention Center. The deal, though, is contingent on voter approval of a hotel tax hike in November.
