An explosion of Spring wildflowers was covering the scars Sunday left over from the deadly wildfires that charred wide swaths of Sonoma County.

300 years? That's the combined experience of the 7 small businesses to be honored at the Family Legacy Business Awards, a free #Oakland #SmallBusinessWeek reception at City Hall on Sunday, April 29. We're just 1 week away. Register today at https://t.co/YaTGzAbYPS

Our helicopter crews patrol from the mountains to the ocean & always there to help out. Today they were over Venice Beach as lifeguards rescued 2 kids caught in a rip current. As more people head to the beach with the warmer weather, a good safety reminder https://t.co/h15OozUqfO

I learned that who doesn’t look for you, doesn’t miss you and who doesn’t miss you doesn’t care for you… that destiny determines who enters your life but you decide who stays… that the truth hurts only once and a lie every time you remember it. There are three things in life that leave and never return: words, time and opportunities… therefore, value whoever values you and don’t treat as a priority whoever treats you as an option.

Happy National Volunteer Week! How do you #GetInvolved? Here at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks our volunteers assist in a variety of activities which include offering route expertise and safety tips in the visitor centers, helping maintain the native plant nursery, monitoring Sequoia and Blue Oak trees, and even contributing an artful eye through our artist-in-residence program. Moro Rock?...

Interesting photo, exposure-wise...quite possibly a single exposure, with just the right timing to start the exposure before local sunrise.

Is the road to the back of the canyon open yet?

Last night a dusting of snow fell upon the higher elevations of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. This is the time of year where storms like this are rare since we are in a Mediterranean climate. Enjoy the last bits of snow trees! Summer is right around the corner. In fact, on Sunday it's going to be 65 degrees!

The MA coast is also getting unseasonal snow. However, I don't think too many people here are really enjoying it. I'm looking forward to my warm weather visit to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

All of them. 🤗💚

Will they still be flowering in 2 weeks when we get there, do you think?

Manzanita

Dogwood is finally budding. Sarvis and redbud are blooming now. Everything is late.

Think this will last into the end of next week?

Any and all of them!

Love the dogwood trees by the King's River.

Renee should go all summer long. Just different locations at different times. I've been up here for 30 years and haven't seen the same pattern twice.
