Multiple tornadoes occurred yesterday afternoon (July 19, 2018) in central portions of Iowa. The towns hit by the tornadoes include Bondurant, Pella, Marshalltown, and near Ottumwa. The NWS is surveying the damage & later will confirm the total amount of tornadoes but so so far there are at least 28 preliminary reports of tornadoes. NWS says Marshalltown, Iowa suffered "catastrophic damage" as tornadoes flipped cars, damaged buildings, demolished tress & powerlines and overall injured dozens across Iowa. Unfortunately, today there is a serious threat for another severe weather outbreak for parts of the Mid-South, MS, Ohio, and TN Valleys. These are going to be more than just summer t-storms that discipate in minutes, I'm talking about posiible supercells producing another tornado outbreak in July... ingridients that typically come together and are more common in the month of May!!
