'Hail day' at Oakland high school prevents students, teachers from attending

We bet students in Oakland were screaming, "hail yes," when quarter-sized hail fell from the sky leading to a hail day and canceled classes.

[email protected] RB @pennyhendrixx finds out he was drafted 27th overall by the @Seahawks in the #NFLDraft

Here's the moment @pennyhendrixx found out he was getting drafted 27th overall by the @Seahawks. He was second RB taken overall.

You DO NOT want to miss @pennyhendrixx reaction to getting "the call" from the Seahawks, surrounded by his family and friends in Norwalk. Priceless, emotional, & genuine. Stick with @fox5sandiego, seriously, it's awesome.

Seattle Seahawks select Aztecs running back Rashaad Penny 27th overall in #NFLDraft

BREAKING: Wow. @pennyhendrixx with the 27th pick in the first round of #NFLDraft, heading to the Seattle Seahawks. Making @SDSUFootball and San Diego proud. Stick with @fox5sandiego for reaction from Penny & his family!

Today, the Los Angeles City Hall turns 90 years old 💫 Built in 1928 in a quirky mix of styles, the top of the building pays homage to an ancient mausoleum. The rotunda dome is elaborately tiled and is a "must-see" for any trip to L.A. #discoverLA

#NFLDraft has not gone exactly as a lot of people expected. But of course, that happens when the #Browns have draft picks.

An LA cop was arrested at a San Diego County border checkpoint and charged with trying to smuggle two people into the country

With the #3 pick the #Jets take USC QB Sam Darnold. Remember, the Jets chose Mark Sanchez from USC in the first round in the 2009 draft.

Cleveland #Browns chose QB Baker Mayfield with first overall pick. Quite a shock to a lot of people!

Ash-throated Flycatchers are back in the park’s oak woodlands from their winter home south of the border. If you listen closely early in the mornings you can hear their “ka-brick” call from the tops of oaks and shrubs. These birds are adapted to dry places – they don’t need to drink water, getting all they need from the insects and spiders they eat! #YearoftheBird

Ben there AWSOME 💕

How long before dRump allows logging strip mining and fracking there

From the very first time I saw those tree's ,it seemed all fairy tails were seeded in truth.

Been there...amazing giants!

Oh, what memories this photo recall----every summer for many, many years!!!❤️😥😥❤️

Amazing Park and Kings Canyon is like a big playground on a motorcycle

That’s something I always wanted to do

That’s an amazing view! Hard for me to imagine trees that big, so pictures are great!

But our planet was once all beautifull, unspoiled, and still could have been all beautiful, but NO!
Some people just want to have too many kids, so those of you who had and are having more than 2 kids, YOU have caused and still are causing massive population growths, that leads into more and more developments and growths that destroyed and is destroying nature and the true face of the earth.
So I wonder how long will these beautifull places survive and last, because of selfish, reckless, careless, ignorant and EVIL human population growths.
The world population is increasing in an alarming rate of more than 200,000 people per day, everything will be eventually destroyed, thanks to those people, you destroyed this planet, kept shitting on it, and now you think you are worthy of these nice places?

Moro Rock?...

Interesting photo, exposure-wise...quite possibly a single exposure, with just the right timing to start the exposure before local sunrise.

Is the road to the back of the canyon open yet?

Last night a dusting of snow fell upon the higher elevations of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. This is the time of year where storms like this are rare since we are in a Mediterranean climate. Enjoy the last bits of snow trees! Summer is right around the corner. In fact, on Sunday it's going to be 65 degrees!

The MA coast is also getting unseasonal snow. However, I don't think too many people here are really enjoying it. I'm looking forward to my warm weather visit to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

All of them. 🤗💚

Will they still be flowering in 2 weeks when we get there, do you think?

Manzanita

Dogwood is finally budding. Sarvis and redbud are blooming now. Everything is late.

Think this will last into the end of next week?

Any and all of them!

California poppy!

Love the dogwood trees by the King's River.

Renee should go all summer long. Just different locations at different times. I've been up here for 30 years and haven't seen the same pattern twice.
