We all had a blast this weekend at the NorCal Youth Camp at Rancho Esquon! This three day camp was filled with fun outdoor activities including shooting instruction, archery and duck banding. At the end of the day, these lucky campers even had the opportunity to obtain a California Hunter Education certificate! 🦆🦌

Yay for me visiting Big Bear (spotter from KSTO, PL42), boo for my Golden Retriever; he hates t-storms. We had some come through Tuesday morning back home in Sacramento and he was not a happy camper.

It's raining in Lake Forest. This is no marine layer drizzle. It's a steady, soaking light rain. That was NOT in the forecast.

Not the most impressive bunch I've seen!

The 2018 Los Angeles Rams Rookie Class will provide great depth to the already stacked roster. Drafting is only one half of the equation, the other is developing these rookies and the Rams great coaching staff will provide the opportunity for some of these rookies to have an impact this season. Best of luck to all. This Rams Season has high expectations and the Rams will Deliver.

All I know is come Aug 18 our first preseason game vs the raiders WE need everyone to show up....NO RAIDERS TAKEOVER NO RAIDERS TAKEOVER NO RAIDERS TAKEOVER AUG 18 SHOW UP THIS IS OUR HOUSE RAMS HOUSE HORNS UP THANK YOU. ......

I can't wait to see Donald, brockers, and suh line up together!

Rams Defense is going to Tear up the stat numbers !

If he plays to his potential and keeps his big head in the game, this will be the scariest defensive line in a long, long time.

If the Rams linebackers develop, the defense could be scary good this year.

im excited for this bro Samoan Joe Saipale

"Mama, there goes that man!"

love this combo, disruptive as h3ll

#RamsNation

Rams D will be insane this year! Offense Too! Can't Wait!

Boy oh Boy....Sounds good to me.....

Tons of fun at Wood Duck 101! This educational event started out with Tez Stair, PhD student from UC Davis, talking about a RFID (radio frequency identification) project to track wood duck hens. Mark Kirsten, manager and part owner of host Sebia Duck Club, invited everyone out to check project boxes, band hens and, of course, hay rides! ...

Unreal trail cam footage from the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District of a CWA wood duck box!

Mendocino County Resource Conservation District
Week # 21 Another Visitor to the Woodduck Nesting Box
The mama duck is diligent and continues to sit on her eggs despite pesky visitors. Visitors caught on camera include raccoon, elk, and starling. Hopefully we see duckling really soon!

Poorly mounted box. Box should tilt forward to help the ducklings get out of the box. That box should obviously been mounted higher.

Don't forget our Wood Duck 101 event is THIS SATURDAY!
This is an educational event co-hosted by Sebia Duck Club in Colusa and CWA where we go over all aspects of starting and successfully maintaining a wood duck nest box project.

This free, family oriented event is an educational opportunity to see firsthand how a wood duck nest box project works.

For more info on the event:
www.calwaterfowl.org/event/wood-duck-101/

CWA will be on site to help with the following:

1. Learning how to build and place wood duck box's if you are interested in starting a project
2. Seeing how hens are captured, banded and data recorded firsthand.
3. Meeting the members of CWA's wood duck program and Biologists and learning about wood ducks and their nesting behavior and how we can help boost their numbers by providing and maintaining nesting boxes.

Supervised kids are absolutely welcome as this is a great family event. Bring a camera and a lunch and feel free to sit in the shade of the orchards for a picnic lunch, there will also be tables and restrooms provided. We will also have water and sodas on hand!
