Senate Symbolically Votes to Revive Net Neutrality

Democratic senators and a few Republican senators passed a resolution on Wednesday to undo the FCC....

PLEASE mention, during the extremely hot weather, to suggest wearing damp or wet clothing to stay cool. Yes, I know it feels ucky, but, it does take the body temperature down, and saves lives.

It so concerns me when I see folks coming to the Mokelumne River here in Calaveras County east of Jackson wading in the cold cold water sans life vests, especially with children. Because we have had to many cases where they slip in the cold water and get swept away, and drown.

Personally I think signs need to be posted, warning parents and that yes, if a child sans a life vest ends up drowning the parents are charged!

People have NO idea the emotional and physical toll it takes on first responders, the sheriff department etc. :-( to deal with trying to save or retrieve the body of a child who has drowned.

Please welcome SCDR's newest refugee, Peter (4423), an 8 year old, 15 lb. tweenie. Janet Shaffron, SCDR foster/adopter/volunteer, spotted him on the Riverside SPCA lost and found webpage. As no one had come to claim him for over 3 weeks, they released him to her today. Sharon picked him up this afternoon. They had fully vaccinated him, neutered him, microchipped him, and even made sure he had a complete dental, and sent home pain meds and antibiotics! Riverside SPCA rocks!

Janet will foster until a wonderful home can be secured for Peter. Interested parties can email <[email protected]> for more information. An application and home check are required. ...

It was an unexpected pleasure today to do an adoption for Franklin (4399), a 2 year old, gorgeous, standard that needed a new home, because the other resident male dog in the home was aggressive toward him. Franklin did nothing wrong, so this was for his safety. His former owner, Michele, became his foster mom temporarily, which was much appreciated.

Today Franklin (his friends call him Franky) met his new forever family. Kathleen, Michael, and daughter Rylee were delighted to meet Franky. He was friendly, but not overly affectionate. Michael is hoping to have Franky bond with him as this is his first dog of his very own. Franky will choose at some point, we're sure.

Please join us in congratulating Kathleen, Michael and Rylee on the new addition to their family. Franky, you don't know it yet, but you won the lottery! ...

Hoping and Praying you find your Baby soon.. Shared to help. 🙏❤️

Introducing Coco (4381) and Lola (4382), 10 and 11 years old respectively. These sisters are adorable mini's who are house trained (ring a bell hanging from a door knob to alert you they need to go out ) and crate trained. Not much on barking either. Coco is blind (chocolate/tan), Lola is her "seeing eye dog". Together they are like having one dog with 2 heads. They eat together, sleep together, and Lola watches out for Coco. Read their complete bio on our regular webpage. If you can give these girls a loving home together, contact <[email protected]>. An application and home check are required, unless you are a previous adopter with an application already on file. ...
