Introducing the 11pm show... Kathleen Bade ...

Hey there Kathleen when did you guys decide on a 11 pm broadcast as well. Love the Fox5 Family. Absolutely love y'all

I thought fox new is at 10pm

AS THIS year's midterm elections approach, the country is still unprepared for another Russian attack on the vote, and President Trump continues to send mixed signals - at best - about what he would do if the Kremlin launched an even more aggressive interference campaign than the one that roiled the 2016 presidential race.

You just convince me that I need to start watching Fox five at 11

im staying past my bedtime , just so i can see whats the latest news.

The Padres need more Dominican players!!!! 🇩🇴

Hopefully they are compensating you & Phil well for staying later!

That Toronto incident is painful to watch.

working later, bummer..atleast your chipper about it..that wonderful smile..

This is Dozer. He was surrendered by his owner to us in December, but was adopted by another loving family a few hours later.

Coincidentally enough, one of our animal-loving CCSPCA employees has another job at a local pet store and ran into Dozer and his new family shortly after being adopted. They were signing him up for training classes.

Today, Dozer has completed two levels of Adult Dog Training, and his owner says that she can take him to the beach without having to worry about his behavior – he interacts with others without barking, jumping, or getting too rowdy!

Dozer will soon begin Canine Good Citizen classes to eventually earn his certification as a therapy dog. We are so happy to hear of the success and happiness Dozer has found, and know his story is just one of the many out there!

We love receiving adoption updates from animals formerly in our care. Email yours to [email protected] and yours could be featured on our social media profiles. ...

Today was Brownie's lucky day, she just doesn't know it yet. Brownie (4375) was adopted today. Brownie, an 8 year old, standard (26 lbs.) girl came to SCDR in early April after the toddler in her former home succeeded in injuring Brownie's back, not once, but twice, resulting in 2 episodes of steroids, pain meds, and weeks of crate rest.

For her safety the family asked us to find her a home that was better for her. Today, Brownie met her new mom and dad. Linda and Kenny applied for several of our dogs over the past few weeks, but each time they were just a little too late. The dogs were already committed to other families. We notified them when Brownie arrived in rescue, and they jumped at the chance to adopt her.

Brownie was less than her usual friendly self at first. Normally, she is an "alpha" personality, pushing to the front of the line for treats and attention. Today, she was stand-offish and cautious. Who were these people? And why are they here? It took a handful of Charlie Bears (little treats) to win Miss Brownie over. But once she decided she liked Linda and Kenny, she was all kissy-kissy. Apparently, she wanted time to size them up and then decide if they were acceptable to her.

Here is Brownie celebrating her new family. Please join us in wishing Linda and Kenny a long and happy life with Brownie. ...

Today was a big day for Oscar (4365). He was adopted by Athena and her dacshie girl, Penny. Oscar, a 4 year old black and tan, originally came into rescue a couple of months ago from the Visalia shelter, along with another male dachshund. Unfortunately, the boys did not get along, so we decided to place them separately. Oscar showed a preference for females, so when Athena applied to adopt the third dachshund from SCDR, we suggested Oscar.

Oscar was not an easy dog at first. He came from a back yard breeder who left him and his siblings outside 24/7 with little or no human socialization, leash training, or house training. It took weeks of one-on-one training to get Oscar ready for adoption. He is 90% there, and Athena is confident she can get him all the way with some time and dedication. This is not her first dachshund, so we have faith she will be able to help Oscar be the dachshund he was always meant to be.

Here are Athena with Penny (3128) and Oscar (4365). Please join us in wishing her good luck with training Oscar and for a long, happy life together. ...
